5 Tips to spring into shape
- Do what works for you or change it up
Did you having a running routine that you enjoy? Did you buy a number of passes to a fitness class that you committed to? If it has worked for you in the past try to see if it works again, or try something new. Have you tried a tabata class? I offer a tabata class twice a week!
- Eat better. By changing your diet you'll feel better and that may motivate you to keep up your fitness regime.
- Exercise at a different time. Have you always been someone who hits the gym right after your 9-5 job? Try working out before work, studies say it gives you more energy throughout the day if you start in the morning.
- Write out your goals. Prepare yourself by writing our your goals - long term and short term. Tell it to someone or write it on a piece of paper and stick it somewhere that you will see it often to remind you of what you're working towards.
- Grab a friend. It's always easiest when you have someone else to do it with then to exercise alone. Grab a friend and once a week do something like run the Dundurn stairs, rollerblade the pier, pick up a tennis racket or come to my trail fit class!
